I’m new at making my own soy wax candles. Some of them have cracks in them. What can I do to avoid this?

    One possibility is that the candles are cooling unevenly, which is often to say that they are cooling too quickly. Insulate the molds a bit or pour in a warmer area.

    Another possibility is that the soy wax you’re using is a “harder” wax and doesn’t have as much flexibility. Try mixing in some beeswax to see if that will help.

    sounds as though you wax is to hot when you pour it.
    try ‘cooking’ the wax at a slightly lower temp, could also be uneven cooling.

    Try shaking the molds a bit as they are cooling to get out any bubbles…make sure you aren’t heating the wax too high…not only does it cause more bubbles and such, but you lose some of your scent that way.
