California Wedding Florist asked:

I’m just wondering what type of candles you all prefer? What do you like your candles in? Jars? Free standing? What’s your favorite scent for candles? Thanks!!!

i like any type of candle, but mostly i go for the cylindrical or square candles without glass encasing. these go nice on top of a square 6″x6″ mirror or any other size. you can also put greenery around the candles. get the candles in different heights too to break up the plane.

now if you’re going for scent, the glass candles give off the most fragrance. this is b/c if more fragrance was added to the non-glass candles, the would immediately melt everywhere and not hold the form. i recommend white barn candle co. over yankee candles, b/c they smell better and more natural to me. my favorites are fresh linen or bartlett pear. you can get a few scents from bath and body works. i also recommend pier 1 for their non-glass candles

I am one of those people who only bring out candles when the power is out. I have bad allergies, and the scents are just torture for me. I prefer a candle in a jar with a hinged lid. They are easy to store, and you don’t have to worry about wax.
